Meet Brenda Myers


Brenda Myers is the President/Founder of Entrepreneurs Academy 101, which is an online program for aspiring or beginner entrepreneurs. She is the CEO and Founder of Journey Insurance Solutions, LLC which is certified by the Mississippi Minority Business Enterprise as a minority and woman-owned business.  She is a Financial Broker licensed to do business in Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. She is also the owner of Boss Babe Lady Boss Store which is an online store for female entrepreneurs.

            Her studies include Jackson State University, Tulane College and Harvard Business School Entrepreneur Essential.

Brenda is a published author who has written two books entitled Making the Decision to Purchase Life Insurance, and Becoming an Entrepreneur; Learn How to Start and Grow Your Business.  She is a member of Women for Progress of MS, Inc., an organization that promotes cultural advancement and economic development while empowering women through Women's Business & Entrepreneur's Network, a member of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and a member of Power to Exhale Central Mississippi Chapter, which is an organization that promotes female empowerment and community service. 

           Brenda was name one of the Top 50 Women Empowering Women. She has been featured on radio shows such as Defining Moments with Larry Nicks on WPMP,  Called2Inspire on KYOK, Metro Morning Live with Rob Jay on WJSU, Talking Fashion with Robert Ford and Friends on WJSU and the Working Woman’s Report with Women for Progress. She has also been featured in New York Weekly Publication, Woman to Woman the Magazine and Our Mississippi Magazine. She is a motivational speaker and has served on several panels and platforms such as Level Up Summit, The Power Up Summit, Comeback Champion Summit and the MS DECA annual conference (which is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe), where she was invited to speak to students about entrepreneurship and leadership. She also served as a judge at DECA’s  2020 Mississippi High School State Conference. Brenda has been approved by the Publications’ Board of The Marquis Who’s Who of America 2021-2022 as a subject of biographical record.

She believes in giving back to the community by working with organizations such Power to Exhale and the Dr. Martin Luther King Salute to Greatness causes.
